Hampton Court

In 2015 I went to London and during my stay there I visited Hampton Court. Hampton Court was the palace that Henry VIII ruled at. The infamous King who had six wives. If it wasn’t for some of his wives being so likeable I wouldn’t have gone. I absolutely love the two wives who were related, Anne Boleyn and Katheryn Howard. Here I am going to show you some photos from my visit.

Hever Castle

Hever Castle was the childhood home of Mary, Anne and George Boleyn. It was an easy and short trip from the Gatwick Airport. The castle holds several paintings, some of the love letters that Henry VIII wrote to Anne Boleyn and a letter that she wrote to him. Hever Castle felt like a grand home, that I wished I grew up in.

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle has served as a home to Royalty such as Queen Victoria, Queen Mary, a young Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Inside the castle you can see Queen Mary’s (wife of King George V) extensive doll house, as well as an impressive art collection. Windsor Castle has captured my interest and Shakespeare’s; as Windsor Castle holds the setting in the Shakespeare play “The Merry Wives of Windsor.”
