Hever Castle

Hever Castle was the childhood home of Mary, Anne and George Boleyn. It was an easy and short trip from the Gatwick Airport. The castle holds several paintings, some of the love letters that Henry VIII wrote to Anne Boleyn and a letter that she wrote to him. Hever Castle felt like a grand home, that I wished I grew up in.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, WWB Studios

The wandering Carol (my lovely aunt) took my mom and me to Warner Bros. Studio Tour London. Growing up watching the Harry Potter movies it was incredible to see some of the sets and props. The most memorable parts were strolling through Diagon Alley and looking at some of the costumes from the Yule Ball. The Harry Potter illusion broke even more after the magical Tom Felton came to my hometown. It was quite the role reversal from Draco Malfoy. The making of the Harry Potter movies looks just as wonderful as the movies; especially after meeting the kind cast member.

Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle has served as a home to Royalty such as Queen Victoria, Queen Mary, a young Henry VIII and Elizabeth I. Inside the castle you can see Queen Mary’s (wife of King George V) extensive doll house, as well as an impressive art collection. Windsor Castle has captured my interest and Shakespeare’s; as Windsor Castle holds the setting in the Shakespeare play “The Merry Wives of Windsor.”
